Everybody loves getting a deal on things…10% off… 50% off… buy one, get one free… As a matter of fact, some people can’t even be happy with their purchases unless they get a big fat discount on everything they buy.
Now, I enjoy saving money when I buy things as much as the next guy, but for years I thought people who were constantly chasing after deals, driving all over town for discounts, and wasting hours clipping coupons, were just a little bit screwy, or simply had too much time on their hands.
I mean, how much is your time worth? Whether you typically earn .00 bucks an hour or 0 dollar an hour… spending 3 hours of your time each week clipping coupons, or driving across town for a few dollars off — just didn’t add up. I mean, do the math for yourself… you’re investing – 0 of your time every week to get a whopping 40% off of a .00 item. Woo hoo!!!. That’s a great big .00 savings. Try not to spend it all in one place.
As you can see, I was quite a discount cynic. You might even say I was a coupon snob… until… my wife and I went through a time when money was tight and my mother-in-law (bless her heart), who is a card-carrying, coupon clipping fanatic — started sending us coupons she clipped each week on our behalf. Like I said, things were tight, and I didn’t see any harm in using the darned things… as long as somebody else was willing to do all the searching & clipping.
Ok fine, so we saved .00 on groceries that first week. The next week we saved .00 plus .00 off household items at Bed, Bath & Beyond. By the end of the first month, we had saved close to .00 cash! At that point,I must say, I was beginning to see the light. This whole business of cutting coupons and running down discounts had real merit… it had produced an extra of spending money in my pocket in less than 30 days. Though I had been a skeptic, I was quickly becoming a true believer.
Well, that was several years ago. Since then I’ve become a bona fide Bargain Hound. I’ve developed a keen eye for a deal… and a highly trained nose for a bargain. And now that the Internet has become so prevalent, bargain shopping has become a whole lot easier. But still, searching the Internet for deals and best prices can be extremely time consuming. This is what motivated my wife and me to create the dealsstore.net, a single website where we can quickly find bargains, discount coupons, and low prices on Everything.
The truth is, we initially set up the dealsstore.net to help quench our own thirst for bargains, and to eliminate the frustration and time involved in searching all over the Internet for deals. We wanted to create a single “trust-worthy”? repository where we could quickly find coupon codes and discounts on the things we buy all the time. When one of my wifes’ friends was looking for a good price on a certain item, we sent her to our site and she found what she wanted for 40% off!
